Roaring 20's

My sister and brother in law just had their 10 Year Anniversary/Vow Renewal with a "Roarin 20's" theme.  SUCH a fun night! And I must say dressing up was SO MUCH FUN! Yet again :)
Cutest flower girl...I know Im biased...but lets be honest! DAR.....LING! All the way down to her pearls and fish nets.  So stinkin cute!
Me and one of the grooms men. (AKA mi esposo) He did come home with me at the end of the night :) Lucky me!
I couldnt resist this pose.  How can you dress up like Throughly Modern Milly and not kick up your heel.  I wish I could dress like this every day! LOVE IT!

Cant get enough of these earrings

I get to dress up about 3-4 times every week for church responsibilities I have.  Most people might not look forward to something like that.  But I LOVE it!  Not only am I still obsessing over my earrings gifted from my friend MadMim but THESE TIGHTS are on my fave list as well this season!  I found them at Nordstrom rack for $4 bucks! YES PLEASE!
White Ruffle top: Garage Sell...or "hand me down"  which ever one sounds classier I guess.  A friend was having a garage sell.  I LOVED IT! She gave it to me FREE :)
Mustard Cardi: Target last year
Black high waist skirt: $1 bin from Mod Bod sale.  SCORE!
Black Suede wedge: DSW last year.  LOVE LOVE LOVE them still!
Cutest kids ever:  Sorry they are ALL mine!  I LOVE when they want in on the photo action :)

Saw this on Pinterest and I. FELL. IN. LOVE

My baby girl is turning 3 and I HAD to use this idea for her bday invite.  She is such a little mini Diva who thinks the world revolves around her.  Love it!

Its finished!

Remember this?  Now we have THIS!!!  I am absolutely IN LOVE with my dining room now!!! Everything about it: the light grey paint color, my amazing "copycat" table from Restoration Hardware I got for 1/3 of the pri$e,The medal industrial chairs, the framed maps, the burlap curtains, and my "ECLIPSE" CHANDELIER from ZGallery I saved for 3 months for. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  ALL of it!
Here is an arial view from our loft upstairs.
The legs of the table are my favorite part of its coolness!  Love them!

And I have to say...random side note...this little $3 plastic stool from Ikea makes the perfect booster for my 3 year old.  LOVE quick CHEAP fixes!

Thanks to my girl Rikke for being my photographer!!!  Now you can finally go pin it on Pinterest :)  Youre the coolest.  Thanks Rikke Rik!

Some NEW faves

Are you ever sick of doing the same exact thing with your hair EVEYDAY??? I am!  I HATE that I have no talent with hairdos whatsoever! I seriously know how to flat iron my hair, do a lose curl due, and a simple pony tail.  Thats it! Sad I know :(  But a high messy bun on the top of the head has been pretty hip lately with some of my fashion blogs and it got me excited bc I can do a pony.  Its a totally different look on me thats for sure.  Nice change?  I do LOVE that it shows off my new earrings that my girl Mim gave me para mi cumpleanos.  They are gorgeous! And NO she did not buy them from Anrtho...she made them!!! I know the girl is talented!!! Love her! Love her mad skills! And I LOVE her gifts :)

My new top I found at new boutique store in University Mall next to Nordstrom called Mikarose.  I must admit it was not my favorite store.  It had lots of things in there that EVERY other store in UT has but they did have THIS beautiful floral print top that I have been on the search for.  I LOVE it! So much!!!

Another option:  Paired with my Anthro sailor linen pants.  LOVE yet again!

New top I found in NYC on our recent vacate.  Found in a random shop in Tribecca called Tribecca Fashions (original name huh!).  It was right across the street from our hotel.  Best part it was only $16 bucks!  Its kind of a long shirt/dress so I rocked the side knot.  Bringin back the 80's...I know...theyre already here :)

LOVE the buttons down the back

And get this! My favorite part.  It totally doubles as a dress! It was just a little too short so I thought what if I wore it over a skirt to add some color.  Love how it turned out!!!
I have to give a shoutout to my FABULOUS photogropher Asher :) My adoreable 5 yr old! Hes such a stud!!! Which is why all the photos are from an upward angle unless he was standing on a chair.  Fun times!

GREAT Advice

This cute girl has a blog called "LittleGirl Big Closet" it is a very unique fashion blog!  Not only does she have great style...she posts how she feels, she posts real thoughts, real situations.  Her blog is so sincere and I applaud her for being so vulnerable in her blogging style.  Very rarely does a blogger open up about personal issues, but she does and with her HUGE following of readers I think thats pretty amazing.  She recently blogged about THE. CRAZIEST. fashion blogger SCAM.  I was shocked to read about one of my fashion blogs I totally follow turn out to be a dishonest personal shopper who took money from SO many people! Such a sad CRAZY story.  But back to my girl (pictured above) I really LOVED something she wrote in her blog post where she talks about "wants".  It really hit home with me.

Taken from "Shopaholics Anonymous" (read full post here):
On her personal spending habits:
"Realistically, my budget simply can not keep up with my ever-growing wants, and I refuse to even try. I will not veer from my self-imposed monthly limit. I am fortunate enough to not have had to start my life out with debt hanging over my head. I have no student loans to repay, no car payments. And no credit cards*. I have a debit card linked to a checking account, into which a fixed amount of money goes in every month, and that is the money I allow myself to spend on, what I must admit, are non-essentials. I won't go into numbers and figures, but I'll tell you something I do know from first-hand experience. Even when I was "constrained" by a monthly budget three times what it is right now, there were just as many things on my wishlist I couldn't afford."

I LOVED this. It is so easy to get caught up in a shopping frame of mind. And I have to regularly take a step back and realize this is of NO importance! I have to remind myself WHAT and WHO are important to me. It was a nice little reminder. And on that note...THIS guy is so important to me. He happens to be the man of my dreams and I still totally have a crush on him!!! This video made that very clear to me :) I LOVE to hear him talk about Rustico. He is so passionate about it! I am such a lucky girl to have a husband who loves what he does. You will totally be able to see what I mean when you watch the video.
